From child star to revered actress, producer, and philanthropist, Kellie Shanygne Williams, is an American actress hailing from Washington, D.C. She took her first dive into acting classes at the age of four, and by age six, she landed her first stage role in a regional production entitled “Cousins.” The Howard University Children’s Theater fueled Kellie’s launch into acting in commercials and theater. The blossoming star subsequently amassed an impressive list of theater credits, including roles in “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” “Butterfinger’s Angel,” “Colored Museum,” “Goin’ Home,” and “The Bacchae,” in which she delivered highly acclaimed vocals.

With her growing skill, undeniable talent, and her dad’s handiwork with the camera, a home video won Kellie the role of Laura Winslow on the sitcom “Family Matters” (1989-1998). This role would become the door by which Kellie would enter the hearts of many across America. Following Family Matters, Kellie continued her career in acting and producing. She starred in the ABC sitcom “What About Joan” with Joan Cusack (2001). Kellie also served as a celebrity guest host for Niecy Nash on the hit show Clean House (2009) and was the co-executive producer of “Blessed and Cursed” (2010), Christmas in Carolina (2020), and " A Family Matters Christmas" (fka) Merry Little Switches, where she also starred. Her compelling performances over the years have garnered nominations for numerous awards.

When asked about his greatest influence in pursuing a production and film business, Ervin Williams reflected on his childhood pursuit of acting. For as long as he could remember, he always had the “acting bug” and even later studied at the Washington Theater Club and Nancy Wheeler’s Actors Stage Studio in Washington, D.C. Alongside those educational experiences, he also attended Knoxville College as well as the University of the District of Columbia. Although he didn’t enter into an acting career, he found a new passion for production and filming. He confidently decided that his talents were better served from behind the camera.

Alongside his professional background in acting, Ervin has experience in managing and guiding the careers of local talents including actors, singers, and musicians. His own daughter, Kellie Shanygne Williams, was one of his first clients. She impressively starred in the ABC hit sitcoms such as Family Matters as well as What About Joan. Notably, he also managed the careers of female R&B groups, Amari, Tommy Boy Records, and Carmen through Atlantic Records. For over thirty years he served as President at Kellie William Productions, and he later became the founder of Nebula City Entertainment.

Ervin has always had a passion for helping others and a knack for running successful businesses. In 2017, alongside his wife Peggy, he founded Dream Merchant Media Entertainment. This business was known for being a full-service production company. In 2020, they co-executive produced and directed the comedy and romance film Christmas in Carolina, The Forgettable Life of LIAM WHITE (2021) streaming on ROKU, Gaslight & "A Family Matters Christmas" (fka) Merry Little Switches with a release date November 2022. Since then, Ervin has continued his career in filming and producing.

Even when Ervin is away from the studio, Ervin is continuously researching the industry to stay current on today’s best practices and to brainstorm new and creative ways to serve their clients. One of Ervin’s favorite aspects of his career is seeing the smiling faces of their satisfied clients and knowing that his company played a small part in someone else’s success story.
