Academic Success
Breakdown for Academic Success, designed to be fair, motivating, and easy for coaches and parents to track:​

Points Earned
Honor Roll (All A’s or A/B) 25 points
Perfect Attendance (per grading period) 20 points
GPA Increase by 0.5 or more 15 points
Homework Completion (verified weekly) 5 points/week
Teacher Recommendation 10 points
Reading a Book (with summary or report) 10 points/book
School Project Participation 10 points/project
Report Card (All B’s or better) 15 points
Progress Report (Improved Grades) 10 points
Tutoring Attendance (4+ sessions/month) 10 points
💡 Notes:
• Points should be submitted monthly with verification (progress reports, teacher comments, etc.).
• Coaches/parents can use the Academic Log Tracker (available on the site or in the booklet).
• Optional: Set a monthly maximum (e.g., 50 academic points per month) to balance categories.

How to Redeem NextPlay Points
Step 1: Track Your Points
• Use the Monthly Points Tracker to record progress in each category:
• Academic Success
• Athletic Performance
• Community Involvement
• Leadership & Character
• Ensure all entries are verified by a coach, teacher, or parent.
Step 2: Fill Out the Redemption Request Form
• Select your desired reward (from an approved list).
• Include the total number of points you’re using.
• Provide details like:
• Name
• Team name
• Coach or parent contact
• Description of the item/service requested
The form can be:
• Submitted digitally via app/website
• Or printed and turned in to your team coordinator or program admin

Step 3: Coordinator Review
• A coach or program coordinator reviews your form to:
• Confirm your current point total
• Verify eligibility
• Approve or suggest alternatives
Typical approval turnaround: 3–5 business days

Step 4: Reward Delivery
• Once approved, the reward is:
• Distributed during practice or team meeting
• Or delivered via email/mail (gift cards, digital items)
